True Development’s HomeSchool Program

What Do we offer Homeschool student athletes?

1

At True Development Sports Performance, we provide homeschool students with a complete physical education experience built around athlete development, health, and long-term wellness. Our program goes beyond traditional PE by combining structured training, education, and recovery practices to develop the total athlete.

Performance Training
Athletes participate in professionally programmed sessions that include speed and agility, strength training, and plyometrics. Each session is designed to improve coordination, movement efficiency, power, and overall athletic performance while being age-appropriate for elementary through high school students.

Health & Nutrition Education
We teach athletes the fundamentals of proper nutrition and how it impacts performance, energy, recovery, and long-term health. Students learn practical habits such as hydration, fueling for activity, and making better food choices to support both training and everyday life.

Wellness & Recovery
A key part of our program is helping athletes understand how to take care of their bodies. We educate students on recovery methods including stretching, mobility, rest, and injury prevention. Our goal is to build awareness around how to maintain physical health and reduce risk of injury while staying active.

Whole-Athlete Development
Our environment emphasizes discipline, confidence, and consistency. Athletes are coached not just on how to train, but how to approach challenges, build routines, and develop habits that translate beyond sports into everyday life.

Expert Coaching
All sessions are led by certified trainers with Division I and professional playing experience. Our staff also includes highly educated professionals—PhDs, M.Ed. holders, former educators, and professors—who bring both athletic expertise and proven teaching methods into every session.

We provide homeschool families with a structured, high-level physical education option that blends athletic training, health education, and wellness practices—helping students train like athletes while learning how to take care of their bodies for life.

Are we a TEFA qualified vendor?

4

We are a TEFA qualified vendor. For those who may not know, starting in the 2026–27 school year, Texas will offer Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) to eligible families—including homeschoolers. These accounts provide up to $2,000 per year for educational expenses like curriculum, classes, tutors, and learning tools.

Even if you’re homeschooling independently (not through a charter), your family can apply.

Families of children with disabilities may qualify for up to $30,000 per year to use on approved programs and services.

Texas ESA funds will launch soon, but you don’t have to wait to join our homeschool parkour program in Austin.

Your child can enroll today and start building strength, coordination, and confidence right away. Then, when ESA funds become available, you’ll be ready to take full advantage - once we qualify as an official vendor.

When the TEFA program launches you will be able to follow these steps.

1. Program Launch (Fall 2026)

Texas will open ESA applications for homeschool families through state-approved Scholarship Funding Organizations (SFOs).

2. Apply & Manage Funds

Families will apply through their SFO’s online portal and choose how to allocate their ESA funds to approved programs.

3. Use ESA Funds at True Development Sports Performance

Once approved, you’ll be able to use your ESA for our homeschool classes, physical education, skill programs, and camps. True Development Sports Performance plans to register as an approved vendor in time for the program launch.
